Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum (Commelinaceae), a new species from Guerrero, Mexico

Abstract

Summary Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum , a new species from the state of Guerrero, Mexico, is here described and illustrated. The proposed taxon is compared with T . floribundum , T . goldianum and T . longifolium , species with which it shares some similarities. A morphological description and images of the new taxon are presented along with a distribution map and a list of the specimens examined of both Thyrsanthemum species ( T . goldianum and T . longifolium ) known from Guerrero.
