New Zealand Journal of Botany · Vol. 52, Issue 2 · pp. 270-271 · 2014

Abstract

Lectotypes are chosen for three basionyms relevant to New Zealand representatives of the Order Salviniales (water ferns)— Azolla pinnata R.Br., Azolla rubra R.Br. (Salviniaceae) and Pilularia novae‐hollandiae A.Br. (Marsileaceae). This article is a contribution towards clarifying the taxonomic and nomenclatural status of New Zealand plants for the plant names database (Ngā Tipu Aotearoa) and the electronic Flora of New Zealand.
