Abstract
A new sand fly species, Evandromyia ( Aldamyia ) diprimioi sp. nov. Rodrigues, Souza, Santos & Andrade Filho, was found in entomological collections carried out in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, South Brazil, and is herein described concerning its morphological traits. This new taxon is closely related to the Evandroi complex but can be distinguished from others of the subgenus E. ( Aldamyia ) by morphological traits of male and female genitalia. The total number of valid Evandromyia species has increased to 48.
