Summary Degradation of the fungicide iprodione by the Paenarthrobacter sp. strain YJN‐5 is initiated via hydrolysis of its N1 amide bond to form N ‐(3,5‐dichlorophenyl)‐2,4‐dioxoimidazolidine.
