Summary Bacteria interact with fungi in a variety of ways to inhibit fungal growth, while the underlying mechanisms remain only partially characterized. The plant‐beneficial Bacillus and Pseudomonas species are well‐known antifungal biocontrol agents, whereas Lysobacter are far less studied.
