To determine the optimal water temperature range for artificial breeding and early development of Osteochilus salsburyi, six water temperature gradients (14, 18, 22, 26, 30, and 34 °C) were set to systematically investigate the effects of water temperature on artificial reproduction efficiency, embryonic development, the morphology of newly hatched larvae, larval growth performance, and the timing of organ development in O. sa...

The suction caisson foundation has been extensively adopted for offshore wind turbine infrastructure owing to its adaptability to deep-water environments, cost-effectiveness, and convenient construction. However, such foundations suffer from relatively low horizontal and vertical bearing capacities when embedded in soft clay deposits. To address this limitation, this study proposes a novel mobile jet-reinforcement technique an...

This 90-day trial evaluated the integrated benefits of biofloc technology (BFT) in lined ponds for intensive Penaeus vannamei culture, comparing it with a conventional water-exchange (WE) system. The BFT system maintained favorable water quality with a 68.4% reduction in cumulative water exchange. Concentrations of toxic total ammonia–nitrogen (TAN) and nitrite–nitrogen (NO2−-N) were better controlled, and total suspended soli...

This study presents a novel ground motion prediction equation (GMPE) for the Sichuan-Yunnan region of China based on artificial neural networks (ANNs). Utilizing data from 207 earthquake events and 3537 ground motion recordings collected since 2007, the ANN-based GMPEs predict peak ground acceleration (PGA) and pseudo-spectral acceleration (PSA) for periods ranging from 0.04 to 6.0 s. The model incorporates five key parameters...
