Socio-environmental conflicts associated with large-scale economic projects in Indigenous territories are well documented, but conflicts in coastal areas remain largely unexplored, despite the crucial differences between inland and coastal ecosystems. While the empirical literature about socio-environmental conflicts in Indigenous territories in coastal areas is growing, the role of financial institutions and corporations in t...

Trichoderma includes several plant growth and health promoting species. However, information about combined plant growth modulation and biocontrol of plant parasitic nematodes is limited. In this work, the role of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) produced by T. atroviride and released into the rhizosphere of tomato ( Lycopersicon esculentum L.) in regulating plant growth and its effects on soil nematodes with different lifestyles (i...

Holothuroids are conspicuous members of megabenthic assemblages, particularly in the deep sea. Some are capable of swimming and while this behaviour was once considered uncommon, deep-sea exploration and technological advances have increased the number of such observations. Swimming or drifting is now regarded to be a potentially common adaptation to deep-sea life that enables long distance dispersal at a low energetic cost an...

Multidisciplinary micro- and bioarchaeological analyses of late medieval deposits from suburban Cártama, Málaga, Spain, have, for the first time, confidently identified open air fumier deposits, which are supported by preliminary analysis of the faunal assemblage. This demonstrates that Andalusi livestock husbandry practices included periodically burning animal dung within corrals and pens, which is a long-standing practice in...

Our primary objective was to compile a comprehensive dataset on bird–window collisions throughout the Neotropical region, including both published and unpublished sources. On May 12, 2020, we extensively disseminated invitations to provide data via email and social media platforms. By providing a template worksheet, we required standardized information from collaborators to complete and register their data. To better understan...
