This preliminary survey analysed mussel atresia incidences, estrogen-responsive and apoptotic-specific molecular end points, and aqueous and gonadal levels of selected estrogens from the East China coast. Lycopodium clavatum sporopollenin exine capsules (SpECs) are known to both adsorb and absorb chemicals.
