Overfishing and coastal environmental alteration threaten recruitment of the migratory Japanese eel ( Anguilla japonica ), and unrecorded losses from capture-induced damage may undermine fishery sustainability. Using empirical monitoring data from China’s eastern coast, we evaluated the capture-induced damage rate (CIDR) as a practical ecological indicator for glass eel protection by characterizing its spatiotemporal dynamics,...

With the continuous development of global intelligent shipping technology, in fields such as virtual testing of intelligent ships and crew training and assessment, there is an urgent need for a highly realistic model to reproduce the driver’s bumpy feeling of ship drivers. Due to the limited travel of the six-degree-of-freedom platform, the platform is unable to provide continuous acceleration during the simulation of the driv...

Identifying multi‐scale threats in the Anthropocene to vulnerable yet crucial ecosystems can inform the development of effective conservation and restoration actions. Estuarine fish assemblages, which are vital for ecosystem functioning and serve as key indicators of ecosystem health, face a multitude of anthropogenic threats operating across local, regional, and global scales. However, due to a lack of standardized, long‐term...

Vibrio alginolyticus , a zoonotic bacterial pathogen, expresses a type III secretion system (T3SS) that is critical for pathogen virulence and disease development. In this study, the mutant HY9901 Δ araC was obtained from the laboratory and its biological characteristics were analyzed. The swimming ability of Δ araC decreased and exhibited a 2,600 times reduction in virulence to zebrafish. However, Δ araC showed no difference...
